the official Web site of the
Malakoff Ex-Students' & Alumni Association!

     The association was reorganized from the former exes association, the 'Malakoff Tiger Exes'. The board of the former organization had voted to cease operations in 2009. It was revived by a small group of us and was incorporated as a non-profit, Texas corporation in February 2010. For the sake of history, we will recognize and utilize both identities. in June 2010, we received 501(c)7 tax exempt status from the IRS, though this affords us no allowance of tax deductible donations, it does exempt us from the payment of income tax.
The association's primary mission is to provide annual scholarships to MHS graduates. This is achieved through the support of members through annual dues, donations, merchandise sales and an annual exes reunion. During the reunion, held on Homecoming weekend, we conduct several fund raisers, (golf tournament, silent auction, raffle & merchandise sales) to serve our mission and continue the association's operations. Funds are used to support the Anne Pope Gilreath and Carl E. Anderson, Sr. Scholarship Awards to two graduates each spring. Since 2009, we have awarded $6,000 in scholarships.

     We also plan to contribute to other Malakoff non-profit organizations that provide services to MHS students, such as 'Malakoff Special Tigers', the local Special Olympics chapter.

     In 2012, we are planning to donate to an education foundation being formed through Malakoff High School. The scope and mission of the foundation has yet to be determined as it has not been legally organized. We understand it will be to provide funding for teacher's in the form of grants.       Association membership is open to ALL Lincoln High & Malakoff High School ex-students. Annual dues are $10 / year and may be paid securely online through PayPal with any credit or debit card.

     With your paid membership, you will receive a FREE association decal, access to our semi-annual newsletter, 'The Tiger Ex Press', a mailed invitation to the annual reunion and discounts on certain alumni events.

2012 MHS graduates will receive a FREE, 1 year membership just for completing the membership application.
